VCT Flooring
Vinyl Composition Tile is the workhorse of institutional flooring: inexpensive per square foot, available in a wide colour range, and replaceable one tile at a time.
VCT arrives as rigid tiles that are adhered to a prepared subfloor. Because the format is modular, a damaged area can be lifted and replaced without touching the surrounding floor — a meaningful advantage in buildings that stay open while repairs happen.
The trade-off is maintenance: VCT expects a periodic strip-and-wax cycle to keep its finish. Where a facility has the cleaning programme to support that, it delivers the lowest installed cost of any system we lay.
Colour can be laid out in patterns, borders and wayfinding lines, which is why it remains standard in schools, clinics and back-of-house areas.
